Impande is run by DigiBiz, a company registered in South Africa under CIPC number 2026/670041/07 (registered name K2026670041 (SOUTH AFRICA)). Our address is 25 Adderley Street, Randburg, Gauteng, 2194. We are the responsible party for your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). When this policy says "we", it means DigiBiz.
We collect three things, and only three:
We do not ask for your name, your ID number, your home address, or your card details in the chat. When you pay, the payment provider handles your card and sends us a confirmation, not your card number.
We use your data to send you the service you asked for: a daily prophecy on WhatsApp, in your language, at the time you chose. We use your phone number to deliver it. We use your language choice to write it in your language. We read your messages so we can reply to you.
Under POPIA we process your personal information to perform the service you signed up for, and with your consent. Some of what you write may reveal your religious or philosophical beliefs. POPIA calls this special personal information and protects it more strictly. We process it only with your separate consent, to give you the reflection you asked for, in this conversation. We do not use it for anything else.
WhatsApp (Meta) carries your messages to us and ours to you. Our hosting provider stores the data on servers in South Africa. Our payment provider, when you pay, processes your payment. Where a provider processes data outside South Africa, we rely on the protections in POPIA section 72: their contractual commitments, or your consent.
We keep your chat for as long as your subscription is active, and for a short time after so we can close your account properly. If you ask us to delete your data, we do. We keep only what the law requires, such as payment and tax records. Tax records we keep for five years, as tax law requires.
Under POPIA you may:
To use any of these rights, message us or email us. The steps are on our data deletion page.
To ask about your data, or to raise a concern:
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
We update this policy when the way we handle data changes. We post the new version on this page, and where the change matters, we tell you on WhatsApp.
