How Impande works: a daily prophecy on WhatsApp

The four steps

1. Say hello on WhatsApp.

Tap the green button on any page. A chat with the Impande number opens. Your name and number come from WhatsApp, and we do not ask for them.

2. Choose your language, your plan and your hour.

The service asks three short questions and you answer in the chat: your language, your plan, and the time you want the prophecy to arrive.

3. Read the first prophecy the next morning.

Your first reading lands at the hour you chose: the prophecy for the day, the word of the day with its source, and the word to carry.

4. Keep it, pause it, or leave.

Reply when you want to. Mute the broadcast when you do not. Pause or cancel any month, with no notice period and no fee.

What arrives each morning

The reading is a fixed shape, so you always know where you are in it.

The prophecy. The reading for the day, in the language you chose.
The word of the day. A sourced proverb in its own language, with its source shown, and a line of meaning.
What today brings. A short reflection on the day ahead, in plain words.
The word to carry. One line to take with you, written to be remembered.
On Umlando and Ubungoma, the star reading joins the same message.
On Ubungoma, the numerology reading and the deeper word are added, and you can ask your own question.

Readings are reflective prompts, not predictions or guarantees. Every reading closes with that line.

Your language

The prophecy is written first in isiZulu or isiXhosa, then carried into the language you choose. Change your language in the chat whenever you want, and the next morning arrives in the new one. New languages go live as each one is reviewed and signed off by our language panel.

Your hour

You pick the time the prophecy arrives, and you can change it any day. Most readers take it early, before the day gets loud. The reading is one message, not a stream of them.

A private chat, not a group

The reading arrives in a one to one chat. Nobody else sees it. The community broadcast is separate, and you can mute it without losing your own reading.

No app, no form

There is no account to create and no password to remember. The chat is the account. If you leave, you take your business elsewhere with one message.

What Impande is not

Impande is not a health service. It does not diagnose, treat or heal anything, and it makes no medical claim. If something is wrong with your body or your mind, see a qualified person.

Impande is not a church or a ministry, and it is no replacement for one. It is not advice about your money or the law either. Where a question is outside what a reading can hold, the reading says so.

Impande is not a person. No human healer reads for you, and nobody in the chat pretends to be one. A South African team writes every word and takes responsibility for it.

Impande is a for-profit subscription media company. Your subscription pays for content, not for a consultation.

Questions readers ask

Do I need a smartphone?

Any phone with WhatsApp on it is enough. The reading is text, so it opens on the smallest screen.

Which language will my reading be in?

The one you choose in the chat. English, Afrikaans, isiZulu and isiXhosa are live, and more are added as each one is reviewed.

Can I change the time it arrives?

Yes, any day. Reply to the chat with the new time and it takes effect the next morning.

Is the reading written by a machine?

No. A South African team writes the readings. Language tooling helps inside the production process, as a productivity aid only, and the words that reach you are written and reviewed by people.

What does it cost?

R49, R79 or R119 a month, VAT included, depending on the plan you pick. There is no joining fee and no contract.

How do I stop?

Reply to the chat and say you want to cancel, or use the contact page. Delivery stops at the end of the month you have paid for.
